What we store
- Your account email, held by Clerk (our sign-in provider) and read when you sign in.
- The items you watch, their price and stock history, and the activity log.
- The shops you add, and your notification settings.
- The devices you've connected.
- If you ask for access before you're invited: the email you give us on the request-access form, plus a hash of your IP address (to help spot spam).
What we never store
Your card. Shelfbell never stores it, on our servers or in the app. Your shipping address lives only on your computer, encrypted.
Who else is involved
Clerk handles sign-in (so we never see or store your password). The app is hosted by a cloud provider, and its traffic passes through Cloudflare. App downloads and updates come from GitHub. If you turn on phone alerts, they're delivered through ntfy.sh, which sees what each alert says (the item, the store, sometimes the price, and a link to the item) but nothing else about you.
Questions
Shelfbell is a small, invite-only project. Questions, or want your data deleted? Email [email protected].
